OCSOAC seek owner of puppy with broken jaw and multiple fractures

OCSOAC seek owner of puppy with broken jaw and multiple fractures.

Investigators in Okeechobee are looking for the person who left a puppy with multiple broken bones. Animal Control officers with the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office found the puppy last month. Rufus, the puppy,  had a broken jaw.  The injury is consistent with being kicked or stomped according to the investigators.

Ruff Pet Rescue in Indiantown took control of the dog.  Its veterinarian performed surgery to install titanium plates and screws to reattach the puppy’s broken jaw. Rufus is now recovering.

If you have any information regarding the owner’s identity or the suspect(s) that committed this abuse, contact Deputy Sheriff Hartsfield, (863)763-3117, in reference to Case #17S16781.

“Rufus” is recovering nicely.  Here is the Go Fund Me.  It will  help recover surgery expenses.
