No death penalty for Austin Harrouff.
The state will not be seeking the death penalty against the man accused of killing a Tequesta couple in their garage. 20-year old Austin Harrouff is accused of killing 59-year old John Stevens and his wife, 53-year old Michelle Mishcon in their garage back on August 15th of last year. When deputies arrived they say they found Harrouff chewing on Stevens face. A neighbor who came over to help was also seriously wounded. Assistant State Attorney Jeff Hendriks said this week that he is not going to be pursuing the death penalty. He added that the case might not be ready for trial until next year. Harrouff remains at the Martin County Jail without bail.
