Nanny faces kidnapping charges

Nanny faces kidnapping charges.

Blanca Castro will be extradited to Palm Beach County to face a charge of kidnapping. The 57-year-old woman is accused of taking the 4-year-old boy she nannies from his Jupiter home without his mother’s consent. When she was arrested in Miami last week, the boy was not with her. But with the help of a private legal counsel mediator, Jupiter police were able to arrange for the safe return of Dominic. The boy was unharmed and reunited with his mother. The child’s grandparents, who live in Miami, were also included in the focus of the investigation. It’s unclear whether they had any involvement in the kidnapping. Authorities believe the kidnapping was planned and that more suspects are involved. The judge said Castro must be extradited within the next 15 days. She is being held without bond.
