MCSO arrests 4 teens after throwing rocks

FOUR TEENAGERS ARRESTED AFTER MCSO AIR 1 CAPTURES VIDEO OF GROUP THROWING ROCKS AT PASSING CARS, DIVERTING WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A HOLIDAY TRAGEDY FOR UNSUSPECTING MOTORISTS

Four Jupiter teenagers were tracked and arrested after MCSO Air 1 captures the group launching large rocks at passing motorists. The incident happened Thursday evening in the area of Red Root Way and SE Island Way. The teens were captured throwing the rocks on Air 1 video.

You can see the teens hiding near a fence line as they wait for vehicles to approach. As cars get closer, the suspects launch rocks targeting the vehicles. MCSO Air 1 Pilot, Deputy Sean Marston and Tactical Flight Officer, Deputy Ed Stagmiller, were able to lead uniform patrol deputies to the location where the teens were hitting the cars. As deputies approached, the suspects took off and tried to hide. They were captured within minutes.

Kyle Claypool (16), Christopher Sancilio (17), Wyatt Cessna (16), of Jupiter, and Thomas Parrish (16) of Tequesta were arrested. Each suspect was charged with at least one count of throwing a deadly missile into an occupied conveyance, which is a felony.

So far, four victims reported that their vehicles were hit by rocks. Deputies believe there could be several more motorists whose cars were hit. If you believe you were also a victim, call MCSO at 220-7170 to report the incident.

Throwing objects at passing vehicles is dangerous and could startle a driver causing them to lose control of the vehicle and crash. Fortunately there were no reported injuries in this case.
