Okeechobee County Fire Rescue is reporting a large fire.
Happening now, 100 acre brush fire off Miko (Micco)Bluff in Okeechobee County.
Fire is on the water management property. No structures endangered. Cause unknown at this time. No Injuries.
The County and the City have issued a county-wide burn ban effective immediately until further notice. This burn ban prohibits burning of yard trash, and other types of fires such as campfires, bonfires, and burn barrels. We could not find this on a Map but I’m pretty sure this part of SFWMD and its off of route 98 near Ft Basinger. If anyone knows for sure let me know and I will update.
