HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS INVITED TO ATTEND THE 2013 COLLEGE/CAREER FAIR
Event Features More Than 175 Post-secondary Representatives
West Palm Beach, Fla. -- The Palm Beach County College/Career Fair 2013 will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the South Florida Fairgrounds and Expo Center West. Commissioner Paulette Burdick chaired a team of dynamic leaders to provide support for access and equity in post secondary planning.
The College and Career Night is one of the most valuable resources for high school students in providing them with pertinent college and career readiness information. The event features over 175 colleges, universities, career programs and military representatives that provide different resources and opportunities after high school graduation.
“All high school students and their parents are invited to attend this event free of charge. The opportunity to meet with college representatives is beneficial so our students can make informed decisions about their future and plan accordingly,” said Mrs. Greenfield, High School Counseling Specialist.
Commercial vendors who provide tutoring and college search services will be participating in addition to language translators to assist families who speak Spanish and Haitian-Creole.
The South Florida Fairgrounds and Expo Center West is located at 9067 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33411.
