Help Celebrate the East Coast Greenway River Relay!

Help Celebrate the East Coast Greenway River Relay! – 25 Years, 50 Rivers, 1 Greenway

St. Lucie County is proud to partner with the East Coast Greenway Alliance on its 25th birthday. Together, we’re celebrating the watersheds and greenways event, the River Relay. You’re invited to come learn about the connections between people and place, between our communities, the Greenway, and our rivers and watersheds.

The East Coast Greenway is a developing 3,000-mile trail system, linking many of the major cities on the Eastern Seaboard from Maine to Key West. More than 30 percent of the route is already on traffic-free greenways, creating safe, accessible routes for people of all ages and abilities. The East Coast Greenway fosters healthy lifestyles, empowers sustainable transportation, and promotes ecotourism.

Join us for a snapshot tour of our ongoing restoration projects on the Indian River Lagoon and local spoil islands, learn about our exciting SUN trail greenway grants, and help us spotlight two of our local businesses along the purposed East Coast Greenway route.
