Fort Pierce: Man rams car with propane tanks into apartment building.
On July 4 at 12:48 pm St Lucie Fire crews responded to residential structure fire in the 400 block of Palm Ave., Fort Pierce. 31-year-old Carl Philbert died when he rammed a car loaded with propane tanks into an apartment building where his former girlfriend lived. He died at the scene.
No one else was injured.
According to police reports, Philbert drove a white four-door sedan through the front windows of a ground-floor apartment off U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce.
