Former Martin County Airport Manager responds to allegations

Martin County -The former Martin County Airport Manager is speaking up after being fired. Erik Treudt was fired earlier this month after just 5 months on the job.

A Martin County Spokesperson released a statement that said Treudt was terminated quote “on the basis of mismanagement of staff, job duties and projects, inappropriate behavior in the workplace and noncompliance with county policies.” end quote.

Treudt says he has never been told that he violated county policy, and that allegations were added to his file two days after he was fired. One of those allegations state Treudt went into an employee’s office and unzipped his pants to fix his shirt. Another stated he talked with employees about his sex life. Treudt denies the accusations. His file and county officials confirmed the allegations were submitted after his last day. The county spokesperson said employees came forward with complaints after he left.
