CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

MARTIN COUNTY

 

  1. Kanner Highway / State Road 76 from Lost River Road to south of Monterey Road

 

Traffic Impact:

  • The speed limit on Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Indian Street has been reduced from 50 mph to 45 mph. The speed limit will remain at 45 mph after project completion.
  • One lane in either direction of Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Martin County High School may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage work and roadway widening.
  • One lane in either direction of Kanner Highway from Lost River Road to Martin County High School will be closed Sunday through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for bridge and drainage work.
  • The sidewalk along the east side of Kanner Highway just south of the high school will be intermittently impactedMonday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. with flagmen holding pedestrian traffic so construction vehicles can enter and exit the pond area.
  • The sidewalk along southbound Kanner Highway from Pomeroy Street to South River Drive is closed through July for drainage work. Pedestrians will be detoured to the northbound sidewalk along Kanner Highway at Indian Street and Pomeroy Street.

 

  1. I-95 Interchange at Kanner Highway (State Road 76 / Exit 101)

 

Traffic Impact:

  • All lanes are open through Friday, June 23.

 

  1. State Road 710 / Warfield Boulevard from east of Kanner Highway (State Road 76) to the Martin / Palm Beach County Line

 

Traffic Impact:

  • The eastbound lane of SR 710 may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. for barrier wall installation. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.

 

  1. I-95 / Martin Highway (State Road 714) Interchange Landscape Improvements

 

Traffic Impact:

  • The shoulders at the I-95 / Martin Highway interchange may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through fall 2017.

 

  1. I-95 Resurfacing Project from Indiantown Road to Bridge Road

 

Traffic Impact:

  • Two northbound lanes of I-95 from Indiantown Road to Bridge Road will be closed Sunday through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. through June for paving.

  1. Kanner Highway (State Road 76) I-95 Interchange Landscape Improvements

 

Traffic Impact:

  • The shoulders at the I-95 / Kanner Highway interchange may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through fall 2017.
  1. NE Causeway Boulevard from Indian River Drive to State Road A1A in Jensen Beach

Traffic Impact:

  • The right turn lane from westbound NE Causeway Boulevard to northbound Indian River Drive will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through October.
  • The sidewalk along the north side of NW Causeway Boulevard is closed for building construction through October. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the south side of the roadway.

 

  1. U.S. 1 / Bridge Road and U.S. 1 / Heritage Boulevard Intersections in Hobe Sound

Traffic Impact:

  • Beginning June 19, intermittent lane closures will occur at U.S. 1 / Bridge Road and U.S. 1 / Heritage Boulevard intersections for signal mast arm painting maintenance. This work is anticipated to be complete by June 24. Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays.

 

  1. Kanner Highway just south of U.S. 1 in Stuart

Traffic Impact:

  • Advance Notice: The right turn lane from northbound Kanner Highway to southbound U.S. 1 will be closed Monday, June 26 through Friday, June 30 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for drainage work.

 

  1. U.S. 1 from Kanner Highway to 6thStreet in Stuart

Traffic Impact:

  • One northbound lane of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Sunday through Thursday nights between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. through June 23 for utility work.
  • The sidewalk along northbound U.S. 1 from Palm City Road to 6th Street is closed through June 23. Pedestrians will be detoured to the sidewalk along southbound U.S. 1 at Palm City Road and SW Ocean Boulevard.

 

  1. Evans Crary Bridge / State Road A1A over the St. Lucie River

Traffic Impact:

  • The eastbound shoulder of the bridge will be closed Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for bridge inspection.
  • The westbound shoulder of the bridge will be closed Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for bridge inspection.

 

  1. Ernest F. Lyons Bridge / State Road A1A over the Intracoastal Waterway

Traffic Impact:

  • The westbound shoulder of the bridge will be closed Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for bridge inspection.

 

  1. LUCIE COUNTY

 

  1. State Road 70 / Okeechobee Road and Jenkins Road Intersection in Fort Pierce

Description: This .549-mile project includes widening the SR 70 and Jenkins Road intersection to provide additional through lanes and turning lanes, box culvert extension and installation work, drainage improvements, and lighting & signalization upgrades.

Cost/Completion: $5.46 million. Completion in spring 2017.

Traffic Impact:

  • One lane in either direction of Okeechobee Road from I-95 to Kerr Street may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Sunday through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for road work.
  • One lane in either direction of Jenkins Road to the north & south of the Okeechobee Road intersection may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Sunday through Thursday night between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for road work. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.

 

  1. Indrio Road Widening Project in Fort Pierce

Traffic Impact:

  • The speed limit on Indrio Road between I-95 and Emerson Avenue has been reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph. The speed limit will remain at 45 mph after project completion.
  • One lane in either direction of Indrio Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
  • One lane in either direction of Johnston Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
  • One lane in either direction of Emerson Avenue may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for widening. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
  • One lane in either direction of Spanish Lakes Boulevard may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for construction. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
  1. I-95 Bridge Deck Replacement Project at Gatlin Boulevard and Midway Road

 

Traffic Impact:

  • The outside lanes of northbound and southbound I-95 at Gatlin Boulevard are closed around-the-clock, with two lanes open in each direction.
  • The outside lanes of southbound I-95 at Midway Road are closed around-the-clock, with two lanes open in each direction.
  • Traffic on Gatlin Boulevard at I-95 may be reduced to one lane in each direction and shifted to the north or south Sunday through Friday night between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. for overhead bridge work.
  • One lane in each direction of Gatlin Boulevard at I-95 will be closed Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge work.
  • The sidewalk on either side of Gatlin Boulevard at I-95 may be closed intermittently Monday through Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Only one side will be closed at a time and detour signs will be in place to direct pedestrians.
  • One lane in each direction of I-95 at Midway Road will be closed Sunday through Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for paving.
  • One lane in each direction of I-95 at the Gatlin Road overpass may be closed Sunday through Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving. Only one lane will be open.
  1. Midway Road Widening Project from S. 25th Street to U.S. 1

Traffic Impact:

  • One lane in either direction of Midway Road from 25th Street to U.S. 1 may be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
  • One lane in either direction of Oleander Avenue from W. 1st Street to north of Midway Road will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
  • One lane in either direction of Sunrise Boulevard from W. 1st Street to Augusta Street will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
  • One lane in either direction of 25thStreet north and south of Midway Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
  • The inside turn lane from northbound U.S. 1 to westbound Midway Road is closed around-the-clock for widening.
  • The inside turn lane from southbound U.S. 1 to eastbound Midway Road is closed around-the-clock for widening.
  • The right turn lane from eastbound Midway Road to southbound Oleander Avenue is closed around-the-clock for roadway widening. Eastbound motorists can turn south from the through lane.
  • The right turn lane from westbound Midway Road to northbound Oleander Avenue is closed around-the-clock for roadway widening. Westbound motorists can turn north from the through lane.
  • Advance Notice: Beginning the week of June 19, Magnolia Avenue will undergo a full closure from Midway Road north for 100 feet for approximately two weeks for drainage work. During this time, traffic will be detoured via Charlotta Street and Sunrise Boulevard.

 

 

  1. North 25th Street from St. Lucie Boulevard (County Road 608) to U.S. 1.

 

Traffic Impact:

  • The outside lane in each direction of 25th Street from U.S. 1 to Industrial Avenue Three is closed around-the-clock through June.
  • One lane in each direction of 25thStreet from Industrial Avenue Three to St. Lucie Boulevard will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through June.
  • The sidewalk along 25th Street from U.S. 1 to St. Lucie Boulevard may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • One lane in each direction of U.S. 1 at 25th Street may be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through June.
  • The right turn lane from southbound U.S. 1 to 25th Street is closed around-the-clock through June for curb work. Motorists turning right onto 25th Street should use the outside through lane of U.S. 1.

 

  1. Port St. Lucie Boulevard from Trenton Lane to Cameo Boulevard in Port St. Lucie

Traffic Impact:

  • Up to two eastbound lanes of Port St. Lucie Boulevard will be closed Tuesday night between 8 p.m. and 12 a.m. for bridge maintenance work.
  • Up to two westbound lanes of Port St. Lucie Boulevard will be closed Wednesday night between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. for bridge maintenance work.

 

  1. U.S. 1 from Virginia Avenue to Ohio Avenue in Fort Pierce

Traffic Impact:

  • One lane in each direction of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through August 25 for median work and to install mast arms.

 

  1. State Road 70 from NE 31st Avenue to NE 34th Avenue in Ft. Pierce

Traffic Impact:

  • One westbound lane of State Road 70 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for utility work.

 

  1. U.S. 1 between SE Huffman Rd and Halpatiokee Canoe & Kayak Launch Access Rd in Port St. Lucie

Traffic Impact:

  • The outside southbound lane of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to facilitate equipment mobilization.

 

 

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

 

  1.  I-95 (SR 9) from just north of State Road 60 (Osceola Boulevard/Exit 147) at Vero Beach to the Indian River/Brevard County Line

Traffic Impact:

  • Motorists should be alert for slow moving construction vehicles entering and leaving the travel lanes.
  • The speed limit has been reduced to 60 mph in the work zone.
  • One lane in each direction of I-95 may be closed Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for construction activities.
  • I-95 northbound between MM 148 and MM 149 is shifted toward the median.
  • The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from County Road 512 is shifted slightly to the east

 

  1. Central Railroad Corridor Greenway (CRCG) Pedestrian Overpass

 

Traffic Impact:

  • The shoulder along the I-95 northbound entrance ramp from County Road 512 may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. through fall 2017.
  • The shoulder along the I-95 southbound exit ramp to County Road 512 may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. through fall 2017.
  • On Monday night, June 19, the following ramps may be closed intermittently to relocate a crane:
  • The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from County Road 512 will be closed Monday, June 19 at 8 p.m. for up to 10 minutes. A flag crew will direct traffic.
  • The I-95 southbound exit ramp at County Road 512 will be closed Monday, June 19 at 9:30 p.m. for up to 30 minutes. Motorists may detour south on I-95, exit at State Road 60 and take I-95 northbound to the CR 512 exit.

 

 

  1. State Road A1A just north of Orchid Island Drive in Vero Beach

Traffic Impact:

  • One lane in either direction of State Road A1A will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through June 2017 to construct a turn lane. Two-way traffic will be maintained.

 

  1. State Road 60 and 90th Avenue Intersection in Vero Beach

Traffic Impact:

  • One westbound lane of State Road 60 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for median and utility work.
  • One southbound lane of 90th Avenue will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for median and utility work. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic.
