Disturbing Case of Animal Cruelty

Dog

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a disturbing case of animal cruelty.

Deputies were called to a home on NE Barbara Drive just after 5 p.m. Friday after a family discovered the body of their pet Chihuahua named “Snow” outside.

Officials say the little dog’s body was covered in blood and appeared to have been beaten to death.

The dog’s owners say their pets were outside playing in the yard as they normally do.

When they called their pets inside, Snow was the only dog that did not come to the door. When the family went looking for Snow, they found her lifeless body on the side of their home.

Officials say Snow had massive injuries to her head.
