Disturbance at PSL home prompts police SWAT team to respond.

Port St Lucie– On November 8, 2017 at around 5:30 pm, Port St. Lucie Police went to the 1000 block of SW Calmar Avenue for reports of a disturbance.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the female adult who lives in the house had an argument with an ex-boyfriend.  During the argument the ex-boyfriend armed himself with a shotgun.  As the ex-boyfriend was handling the shotgun a round was fired inside the house.  The woman was able to flee the home, without injury, and went to a neighbor’s house until police arrived.

During the investigation police made several attempts to make contact with the ex-boyfriend who was believed to still be in the house.  After several hours of trying to make contact with the ex-boyfriend, Port St. Lucie Police S.W.A.T. arrived on scene.

Residents in the area are advised to stay inside their homes or avoid the area until the situation is brought to a conclusion.
