Dade/Broward Burglary Suspects captured in Palm City

Vigilant citizens can be credited with the capture of two south Florida burglary suspects, following a busy crime spree and intense manhunt through Palm City early this morning.

18-year old Tyron Izard of Miami, and 16-year old Kadarius Fleming of Miramar, spent much of their Friday night stealing cars and burglarizing vehicles in Martin and Port St. Lucie communities overnight. Fortunately, a citizen saw something suspicious and called deputies igniting a large manhunt in communities throughout Palm City. Ground units, along with K-9, and Air 1 worked to box the fleeing suspects in one area. Citizens who saw the suspects run from yard to yard called the sheriff’s office to help direct deputies to the burglars. They were captured just before 8 am.  Two cars were stolen.  Dozens of vehicles were burglarized  in Port St. Lucie and Martin County.

Deputies were able to recover the stolen cars and some of the property. Investigators from Port St. Lucie and Palm Beach County worked with MCSO to sort out exactly how much damage the burglars did, and where. The two vehicles were stolen out of Palm Beach and St. Lucie County. Seven auto burglaries in Martin County were reported. Port St. Lucie authorizes had multiple burglaries as well. Both subjects confessed to the crime spree.

A majority of the vehicles burglarized were left unlocked. We are again urging all residents to remove valuables from your car and keep your car doors locked. Also, if you see something suspicious, call 9-1-1.

Tyron Izard and Kadarius Fleming have been charged with multiple burglaries and auto theft. Additional charges are expected.
