Code Red at Okeechobee Animal Control

Code Red at Okeechobee Animal Control.

Okeechobee Animal Control and their partners at Nala’s New Life Rescue have issued a plea for help.

Dozens of dogs at the shelter need to be adopted immediately or they will be euthanized.

The shelter has reached a “code red” level emergency because the shelter and their partners are at maximum capacity.

Every day stray dogs are picked up or dropped off. Images of the dogs available for adoption can be seen on the shelter’s Facebook page.

Okeechobee Animal Control is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

MORE DOGS AT OKEECHOBEE ANIMAL CONTROL WHO NEED TO BE SAVED

This is heart breaking. Please help. Please adopt. It is worth the 45 minute drive to Okeechobee to check out these great dogs. The shelter is open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (take a long lunch break if you can get away from work; play hooky, call in sick – it’s worth it to save a life!). The address is 1480 N.W. 25th Drive, Okeechobee, FL 34972, and the phone number is 863-357-3225.
