Becky Bruner elected Stuart City Commissioner

Becky Bruner became Stuart’s newest city commissioner.

Bruner won about 64 percent of the vote. This is according to final but unofficial results from the Martin County Supervisor of Elections.

Becky is a long time Stuart resident. She has been advocating for clean water for years.

She beat Ron Rose, who had 26-percent, and Tyler Green-James, who finished with less than 10-percent of the vote. Bruner will take over for Jeffrey Krauskopf, who is retiring after 30 years on the commission.

The one cent sales tax proposal has been voted down by Martin County residents. 63-percent of the voters said no to the new tax. 

  NO =62.99%, YES =37.01%
