About the Teen Summit
The Teen Summit is an annual event that was created in support of the BGC’s mentoring initiative. The goal is to show St. Lucie County’s young people the numerous job and career opportunities that are available to them. The program was developed in conjunction with Dr. S. Darrell Lee, Founder of Lee Plastic Surgery & Laser Center and supporter of the Club.
“The young people in our community need to know there are plenty of career opportunities waiting for them, right here in St. Lucie County. They don’t need to move elsewhere to find good paying jobs,” stated Dr. Lee. “The mentoring program introduces the teens to the local businesses and teaches them the many options that are here.”
There are 125 teens, ages 13 and up, registered to attend. The Club anticipates at least 30 business partners to participate as well. To find out more about the 2017 Teen Summit, please visit bgcofslc.org or call (772) 460-9918.
