3 teens arrested for multiple car burglaries
3 teenagers arrested for multiple car burglaries after an off-duty Palm Beach County Deputy found the teens in a neighbors car.
PSLPD arrested three teenagers, 16,15, and 14 year old. They were arrest for car burglaries, possession of burglary tools, theft, and resisting an officer. This happened after an off-duty PBSO witnessed two juveniles in a neighbor’s car.
On March 12 at around 5:15 am, PSLPD went to the 900 block of SW Cornelia Avenue for a report of a car burglary. Once on scene, an off-duty PBSO told officers that as he was returning home from work in his marked patrol car he observed two male juveniles in the front seat of his neighbors car. The juveniles fled the scene and took cover in a nearby wooded lot after seeing the deputy.

PSL officers flooded the area and located two teens in a wooded lot, who subsequently exited the woods and were placed into custody. The third teen was located a short time later in a separate wooded lot. K-9 Officer ordered the teen out of the woods and when he refused the officer’s K-9 partner entered the woods. The teen resisted and kicked the K-9 and was subsequently bit on the foot. The teen was then arrested.
Near where the third teen was located officers found a back pack in the woods containing flashlights, and gloves. Further investigation revealed that eight cars at 5 different locations: 900 block of SW Cornelia Ave, 900 block of SW North Globe Ave, 3100 block of SW Bridge St, 1000 block of SW DiLido Ln, and 1000 block of SW Aswan Ave, had been burglarized by the teens.
Police recovered stolen property in a wooded lot. This included loose change, a small amount of US dollar bills, an Apple Macbook, .380 caliber ammunition. Police later searched a wooded lot by another victim’s residence and located a purse that had been stolen.
All three teens were arrested and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center
