The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is the largest environmental film festival of its kind in North America being hosted in our own backyard. This powerful international series of short films are a call to action! Soul-stirring stories and grand sweeping vistas give us a sense of place and what it means to be responsible stewards of the earth. They illustrate not only the challenges facing our planet but the work communities are doing to protect the environment and the places we love. They also portray the magnetic draw of nature and the adventurous side of the human spirit. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is proud to partner with over 140 environmental groups, nature centers, museums, and universities across the United States and Canada, to increase a groundswell of environmental support by hosting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival.

Food, sodas, beer & wine will be available for purchase. All proceeds support the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum.
Gates open at 6:00 pm. Live Music 6:30-7:00 pm by StratOlites, reverb drenched garage surf Rock N’ Roll band DJ 7:00-7:15 pm. Presentation of the Outstanding Stewardship Award at 7:15 pm. Wild & Scenic Films begin at 7:45 pm end approximately 9:45 pm. Raffles.

iPhoneography Workshop

Join award-winning, world-traveler and 25 year film & TV location scout & veteran photographer Cindi Hobgood in a day-long workshop to hone your iphone photography skills and shoot like a pro. Indoors workshop, bring your own camera phone. Cindi teaches you how to use your iPhone and iPad beyond shooting snapshots and explores the process from capture to final image. She’ll introduce some of the best apps out there for creating beautiful and artistic images! Learn about the latest editing, filters, stylizing apps & iPhone equipment. Hands-On History series is dedicated to creative & unique experiences tailored to give guests an expanded and diverse perspective on Florida heritage and our environment. Day Two: Cindi’s advanced creativity class will dive into techniques for creating a more artistic final image by using masks, layers and blending modes. Several workflows will be explained with time for student practice. This class is fun, stimulating and will show you what is possible! Space is very limited, fee $65 per person. Join us in the Museum café as Staff shares the latest discoveries in local historical research and new findings from our ever expanding Museum’s collection. You may be the first to hear about new research shedding light on an old mystery or see an unusual or rare donation up-close! What fascinating facts are in the archives of the Loxahatchee River Historical Society? Historian and Collections Manager Josh Liller will give a 30-45 minute presentation related to local history drawn from our Archives and the latest research. Q&A will follow. Hike Through History

Discover the topography and natural history of Jupiter’s National Conservation Lands historic site. This 2 mile trek passes through historic points of interest on the 120-acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. The hike departs from the flag pole at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum and is weather dependent. Program is open to adults and children-minimum age 5, ages 13 & under must be accompanied by an adult that is at least 18 years old. Hiker’s footwear, active wear, a hat, and a full water bottle or canteen should be carried. Admission is free but space is limited-RSVP required 561-747-8380 X101. Lighthouse Story Time & Crafts for Kids

Join us under the Lighthouse Seminole Chickee Hut for story time & craft activity about Lighthouse Keepers, Florida History and People & Local Plants and Animals. Moms & Dads, this is ideal for kids ages 8 and under. Please bring a small beach/picnic mat for your child. Lighthouse Sunset Tour
Every Wednesday, Time varies by sunset
Take in the spectacular sunset views and witness the Jupiter Light turning on to illuminate the night sky. Visitors get an inside look at the nuts & bolts of a working lighthouse watchroom. Tour time approximately 75 minutes, $15 Members, $20 Non-Members, RSVP required, 561-747-8380 X101.

Lighthouse Moonrise Tour

Twilight Yoga at the Light

Experience the serenity of Yoga with Mary Veal, Kula Yoga Shala,
on the Lighthouse Deck at Sunset! Every Monday (time will vary monthly based on sunset.) This is an all levels class and beginners are welcomed and encouraged! Offered by donation. Bring a yoga mat and a flashlight. Meet at the Museum 10 minutes prior to start time, class is weather dependent-please check website for updates and future start times.
